DIAMOND TURTLE

DIAMOND TURTLE is a graffiti project created within a festival where participants were invited to develop works inspired by the Soviet science-fiction animated film “Alice and the Mystery of the Third Planet”. As a starting point, I chose the image of the Diamond Turtle - not a classical character, but an object that, in the original narrative, is not endowed with a living character.

While working with this image, it was important for me not to literally reproduce the source, but to reinterpret it and transform it into the central character of the composition, around which the entire piece is built. Through dynamics, plasticity, and the rhythm of form - along with the integration of key characteristic elements - a balanced and expressive composition emerges.

The project became an attempt to reinterpret a familiar visual code through the lens of my street practice: preserving the recognizable outer shell of the image while translating it into the language of a dynamic, contemporary visual statement.
